Safety at MIRC
Safety is built into the way MIRC plans and manages every project
MIRC maintains a comprehensive corporate safety program with defined responsibilities at the company, project-management and field-supervision levels. Project managers, superintendents and foremen are accountable for implementing safety requirements, identifying unsafe conditions and maintaining safe working environments throughout construction.
Our safety program includes regular jobsite inspections, employee orientation and training, documented weekly toolbox meetings, hazard communication, personal protective equipment requirements, accident prevention and investigation procedures, and coordination of subcontractor safety programs.
MIRC’s superintendents and project leadership have the authority to address unsafe conditions and suspend work when necessary to prevent injury, damage or loss. Subcontractors and suppliers are also required to comply with MIRC safety requirements and applicable federal, state and local regulations.
For occupied healthcare, institutional and commercial projects, this safety-first approach extends beyond construction personnel to the protection of facility staff, patients, visitors and the public.
