Barboursville Healthcare Center Breaks Ground

Construction is underway on the new Barboursville Healthcare Center, a 124-bed skilled nursing facility in Cabell County, West Virginia. MIRC CM Services is providing construction management as the project moves from groundbreaking through site development and active construction.
The new facility will provide modern resident care, clinical support, administrative, and operational spaces while expanding long-term care capacity in the Huntington and Tri-State region.

Barboursville Healthcare Center
August 6, 2026 · Groundbreaking
Construction officially began on the new Barboursville Healthcare Center, a 124-bed skilled nursing facility serving Cabell County and the greater Huntington area. MIRC CM Services is providing construction management as the project progresses from site development through construction.
September 2026 · Construction Progress
Following the August groundbreaking, construction activity advanced at the new Barboursville Healthcare Center in Cabell County. Early work included site grading, earthwork, underground infrastructure, and preparation of the building pad as the 124-bed skilled nursing facility moved into active construction.
Robert & Lena Shell Outpatient Medical Pavilion
The Robert & Lena Shell Outpatient Medical Pavilion at Cabell Huntington Hospital expanded specialty care in Huntington through a multi-year construction effort led by MIRC Construction Services.
August 2021 · Groundbreaking
Construction began on the new five-story outpatient medical pavilion, designed to expand access to specialty healthcare services.
September 2022 · Topping Out
The project reached a major structural milestone as the final steel was placed.
April 2025 · Project Completion
The pavilion officially opened, completing the multi-year construction effort and expanding specialty care at Cabell Huntington Hospital.
Rivers Health Emergency Department
MIRC Construction Services led construction of the expanded emergency department at Rivers Health in Point Pleasant, West Virginia.
Rivers Health broke ground on a major emergency department expansion designed to increase and modernize emergency care capacity for the surrounding region.
August 2026 · Project Completion
MIRC Construction Services joined Rivers Health, Marshall Health Network, and community leaders to celebrate completion of the new emergency department expansion.
St. Mary’s Center for Education
MIRC Construction Services completed an expansion at the St. Mary’s Center for Education in Huntington, creating additional space for healthcare education, training, and professional development.
October 2025 · Project Completion
A new approximately 7,000-square-foot educational wing opened at the St. Mary’s Center for Education, expanding classroom and training space serving healthcare professionals and the community.
