Expanding Emergency Care for the Point Pleasant Community

MIRC Construction Services served as General Contractor for the Rivers Health Emergency Department Renovation & Addition in Point Pleasant, West Virginia. The project combined a new addition with the renovation of existing hospital space to create a modern emergency-care environment designed to improve patient access, clinical operations, and staff support.

Construction was carefully phased and coordinated while Rivers Health remained operational in adjacent areas of the hospital. The completed emergency department includes new examination and trauma rooms, secure behavioral-health treatment areas, isolation capabilities, ambulance access, registration and triage spaces, and a covered public entrance.
